Meet Kristen

Kristen Lucken is an author, teacher, and researcher who loves nature and is fascinated with monarch butterflies. When her children were toddlers, she imagined the wonderfully unique adults they would one day become. She wrote this story for them—about a tiny caterpillar who longs to be like its friends, unaware of the amazing future ahead.

 

When Kristen is not teaching at Brandeis University, you will find her hiking with her husband, Kent, and their dog, Bodhi, or visiting their sons, Alex and Ryan, who, like the little caterpillar, have emerged into the world as amazing adults. Kristen lives in Newton, Massachusetts.
